Well, everything is going by smoothly when it comes to Chapter. The casting is done for Chapter 2 and the voices are being collected as we speak. Filming wise, I’ve gotten half of it done and I still need to body-act and film the second half. Let’s just say that the story takes a turn hear into something that was very Unexpected (See what I did there?). Chapter 1 was a mere pilot episode and sets you up story wise for Chapter 2. It will be much darker and you actually get a look at what happened after the war from multiple perspectives after that.
The cast consists mainly of personal friends that have worked with me before and a few VA’s I scouted on my own. One of which is going to play Myrron, The Gamma Squad Leader during a flash back. He voiced all of the character in The MB’s ODST ‘Reunite’ trailer. I also scouted VA’s for upcoming episodes such as Adam Stone who debuted in Horizon Ep. 2 as the Lt. as one of the main antagonists in the series. Chapter 1 was an astounding success and Chapter 2 is looking really good so far. I am really surprised that no-one has found the spoilers I put in Chapter 1 that clues what might happen in Chapter 2. If someone finds them, I will give them Chapter 2, 1 full-day before it is released to the public. I’ll give you one hint, there are 2 spoilers in this Chapter so look close.
Now that is out of the way, I checked HBO (halo.bungie.org) and saw that I got an HBO Spotlight although Mr. Wu was clueless of what the real story was about, which some of you are too. Don’t worry, it was just a pilot episode, the real story reveals itself in the next chapter. Anyway, I am looking for a person who can do a good newscaster voice, so email me a sample to my email, tayloreby16@yahoo.com, and I’ll pick the best one out of the crop. I just sent the script for Chapter 2 to my main voice actor, Gassy Mexican. I also talked to my partner, HolyJunkie about Chapter 2 and received the first half of gameplay footage from him for me to capture.
After I get the the second Chapter edited, I’ll start making a trailer for you guys to enjoy while my music composer is creating the score for Chapter 2. For those of you wondering where to download the final score for Unexpected, it will be available under the “Angsty Soundtrack Volume 1″ on itunes for $5, so show your support and buy. It comes with all the music from Craig’s previous works such as Pathogen and The Wrong Lot.
So far, all I need is the music from Craig Kesicke, my music composer and I’ll post it on machinima.com and on my youtube when he gets the rest of the music in.

As you can tell by the screenshots, this will be Halo 3 machinima, BUT it won’t be at the same time. I am implying this because there will be elements from Garry’s Mod in their, I can’t tell you the full details because it is top secret. This is going to be a machinima between HJ and I, like I said in a earlier blog post, but this is going to be published by Angsty Studios. Craig Kesicke is composing the music for my series so that I won’t run into WMG or other stuff like that. Anyways, the music is beautiful so far, the music is mostly pianos (a reoccurring theme) with some strings and percussion for the battle scene.
Expect this to be on machinima.com shortly because I will be making a teaser for this video. The GMOD portions will be done in Faceposer using Source SDK. I am also scouting for VA’s for other episodes, so drop me an email at webmaster@angstystudios.com and I’ll get to you shortly. I working on the second draft for this vid at this moment and I’ll be cutting up scenes from Episode 1 in the teaser/trailer. I will also be working closely with Craig Kesicke on his newest project called Lightless, I can’t give away any details beyond what he has given to the people at machinima.com.

The main character, as you can see, is the Gman from HL2 played by Gassy Mexican. I will be helping faceposing in this and maybe a small voice role. Ross Scott, the Creator of Freeman’s Mind and Civil Protection, will be making a Cameo in Lightless.
Anyways, my friend Archbomber showed me this machinima he acted in and it was really good, I suggest seeing it for yourself.
I have been busy lately on a lot of projects, looks like a bit more than I can chew. I have to design the site for Angsty Studios, which I have all the visuals done for the site, I just have to code it and input the text that they gave me in an email. On top of that, I have to edit the rest of my machinima, which HolyJunkie and I are doing. I also have to collect Mauri Majanoja’s lines for me to finish the first scene. I also have to go out and buy a number pad because laptops don’t have one, I need this for GMOD because it is used to operate the cameras. Craig Kesicke is going to give me a copy of his full soundtrack for free when he releases it on itunes after the release of Pathogen Ep. 2 because I created the CD cover for him. Helpful people are very helpful imo. I will also be starting a comedy series soon, which has live action shots of HJ wearing his Rorschach mask, pretending to be him.

This is currently a collab between HolyJunkie and I. This was originally a collab between A10m1c and HolyJunkie, but he bailed on him so I got stuck with the dirty work. The machinima is in post-production right now, I’m editing it with Adobe After Effects CS4(Mainly the Special Effects) and Sony Vegas Pro 8 for linear video editing. For the sound effects, I am dipping into my sound files for Counter Strike: Source and Half-Life 2. Everything is going smoothly. The script is written by HolyJunkie and Co-Written by myself, the concept is by A10m1c. This machinima is titled as “Unexpected”.
“A soldier who was in a war over advanced technology resources got seriously injured and had to be taken into critical care. When he awakes, the war has ended and a messenger tells him that they where forced to surrender. The soldier asks what has come of a fellow soldier who helped him out in the battle, but the messenger reveals that a vast chunk of the army was KIA and has been buried in the war cemetery. The soldier goes to visit his friends grave and sees the tombstone. Overwhelmed at the death around him, and the loss of a friend, He l goes to his chiefs office to resign from the military only to find him not there and a new transmission on his computer. The soldier opens the transmission to find a video file of some of the troops in a containment cell. one of which, looks like his friend. After realizing that the resemblance is too similar, he hears footsteps and is found in the office by the commanding officer.
After a brief conversation, the soldier finally resigns from the army and goes back to the tombstone. He decides to dig up the grave to see if there is a body inside the grave or not. To his surprise, it is empty. He then Finds that all of the “KIA” graves are empty. Comparing the empty graves to the transmission he found earlier, he comes to the conclusion that the soldiers are being held hostage by the enemy, yet wonders why the chiefs would lie about the bodies being buried.
After a series of events which have yet to be determined, the Soldier comes to find that his friend is in fact alive as well as the others. That the chief of his army made a deal with the opposing forces in which they would get paid vast amounts of money if they surrendered some of their army and allowed them to obtain the technology. Events after this point have yet to be determined.
Later, it is come to find out that the higher ranked officers made a deal with the opposing army. The deal was ultimately leading to more powerful space travel. They secretly combined forces of their highest officially to create starships to leave Earth to rot, while they keep all the technology and create a utopia elsewhere.”
